This is an issue that is unfortunately so common yet so easily brushed under the rug. Children should not have to go through such traumatic experiences and we as a community need to stop ignoring the flaws within us and start believing that change can only occur if we change our mindset. Stop blaming girls for the revolting behaviour of men. Stop pressuring girls to be ashamed of their bodies because men are unable to control their desires. Stop shaming women for experiencing such tragic experiences because of the monsters in their lives.
RAPE AND ESPECIALLY CHILD RAPE IS FAR TOO COMMON NOW TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT SO LONG AS WE BLAME THE VICTIMS, THE ABUSERS, THE MONSTERS AND THE KILLERS WILL CONTINUE TO BREATHE THE SAME AIR AS YOU AND WALK FREELY BECAUSE OF THE CHOICES WE MAKE.
Somalis need to start accepting this is their issue now as well, has been and still is. It is sad that it takes for such a tear inducing incident to alert us to finally start to become more educated.
Many young Somali girls across the country have been subjected to a pain they ought not to have experienced pain more and more again.
SOMALI RAPE VICTIMS NEED JUSTICE NOW.
