There has been a visible progress in Somalia since the country became federal government.
Somalia has requested to join Common Market for East and Southern Africa (COMESA). The market was established in the year 1994. There are more than 20 countries from East and South of Africa that are part of this common market.
Not only Somalia has submitted the request, but also Tunisia has requested and their request is yet to be accepted.
The aim of the market is to ease the movement of goods from one country to another. Members of the market are also planning to have a common passport.
